The Sense of an Ending by Julian Barnes

Reflective exploration of personal history and the fallacies of memory and oddities of human experience.
Decent, short, not plot driven, but interesting.

The Honest Truth about Dishonesty - D. Arielly

Short and useful, mostly worthwhile. In brief, we are all slightly dishonest but not more so as we still want to think of ourselves as a good person.

The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera

A wonderful book exploring themes of history, personal sacrifice, sex and infidelity, sadness and never knowing what might have been. I understand why it is famous.

Anti-Fragile by N. N. Taleb

Not worth your time, avoid it.

The Righteous Mind: Why Good People are Divided by Religion and Politics by Jonathan Haidt

An excellent work of moral psychology that will help you better understand why people do the things they do. Not flawless, but very much worthwhile.
