The nutrition labels update is good news but the no carb claims is a big win for the sugar lobby. No scientific evidence linking health problems to high carb diets? Who convinently forgot about diabetes. I agree that while losing weight through low carb diets has no proven health benefits beside those usually associated with being a healthy weight but there are serious health problems caused by high carb diets. It's a fact that has been accepted for so long that people tend to easily forget it. The sugar lobbists have won by framing the arguement about the health benefits of low-carb distracting us from the dangers of a high-carb diet where there is little controversy.
