Religulous

A great movie - it was amusing, informative and concerning.
Maher wisely pushes the notion of doubt instead of certainty and raises the important issue of how policy might be influenced by untenable beliefs. Unfortunately, the film became alarmist at the end and glossed over many important issues (i.e. politics, marginalization/desperation, history, basic psychology) that are likely responsible for much of the indignation displayed by supposed religious zealots. Further, as many people pick and choose and even those who state they are firmly religious do not often use it as a detailed guide to daily activities; it could be fallacious to wholly attribute their actions to their declared religious belief.

Concisely, thank God most people aren’t really religious.
